scripted The Princess Bride has been described as "a classic fairy tale", but it is so much more than that. Aside from the standard swordplay, giants, an evil prince, a beautiful princess, there are Shreeking Eels, Cliffs of Insanity, an Incredible Sicilian, hungry ROUSes (rodents of unusual size), lightning sand (quicksand on steroids), and unpredictable jets of flame shooting out of the ground in a Fire Swamp, a Pit of Despair, the Brute Squad in the Thieves's Forest, notorious take-no-prisoners Dread Pirate Roberts and Miracle Max and his wife Valerie. This is a witty, funny and wonderfully written movie, based on the 1973 novel of the same name by William Goldman.

What I love best about this movie is the wit, the dialogue. There are a whole list of tagline that are memorable. "Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." "Is this a kissing book?" "Inconceivable!" "As you wish.... " "Get used to disappointment." " Let me put it this way. Have you ever heard of Plato, Aristotle, Socrates? Morons." "Life is pain, Highness. Anyone who says differently is selling something." "We'll never survive (Buttercup). Nonsense. You're only saying that because no one ever has (Westley)." " Tyrone, you know how much I love watching you work, but I've got my country's 500th anniversary to plan, my wedding to arrange, my wife to murder and Guilder to frame for it; I'm swamped."

I have so much fun watching this movie that I don't even need the popcorn and comfy sofa!! I love it!!
